This is an adult female osprey.
She carries a perch in one talon.
She has two nearly grown nestlings.
She was in the middle of feeding one of her nestlings when a male osprey (not her mate) flew near her nest.
In this shot, she's in the process of chasing that male away while hanging on to the fish.
Seriously. Why do I love these birds?
